Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Babymind.

What is Babymind and how does the AI cry analyzer work?

Babymind is a parenting app with an AI cry analyzer. Record a few seconds while your baby is crying and the app suggests the most likely reason: hunger, tiredness, discomfort, gas that needs burping, belly pain, or being too hot or cold, together with a confidence level and what to try first. It is a support tool, not a diagnosis. Babymind also covers period and ovulation tracking, pregnancy week by week and your baby's growth and development, from trying to conceive through the first years.

How much does Babymind cost and what is included in each plan?

Babymind is free to download and use. The free plan covers pregnancy and baby tracking, feeding, diaper and tummy time logs with reminders, soothing sounds, WHO growth percentiles, a limited number of daily AI questions and cry analyses, and the vaccination calendar. An optional premium subscription adds unlimited cry analysis, sleep, feeding and growth reports, detailed cycle and pregnancy reports, PDF export, the full food-safety and baby-name libraries, more family invitations and an ad-free experience. You can subscribe inside the app whenever you want; current prices and trial terms are shown there and vary by country.

What life stages does Babymind cover?

Babymind covers three life stages in one app. Trying to conceive: period and ovulation tracking with AI predictions, fertile window alerts and cycle analysis. Pregnancy: week-by-week development updates, an animated illustration of your baby, size comparisons, nutrition tips, a kick counter, a contraction timer, a weight tracker and AI coaching. Baby: AI cry analysis, Daily Care for feeds, diapers and tummy time, soothing sounds, growth tracking with WHO percentiles, sleep tracking, a vaccination calendar, developmental milestones and a voice diary.

Is Babymind available in multiple languages and on which platforms?

Babymind is available in 11 languages: English, Turkish, German, French, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Arabic (right-to-left), Hindi, Japanese and Simplified Chinese. It runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS 15.1 or later (App Store) and on Android 8.0 or later (Google Play).

How accurate is Babymind's AI cry analysis?

The cry analyzer uses a machine-learning model trained on labeled recordings of infant cries. For each recording it shows the most likely reason, from hunger, tiredness, discomfort, gas, belly pain and being too hot or cold, with a confidence level so you can see how sure it is. Results are suggestions, not a diagnosis: you know your baby best. For the clearest result, hold the phone 30 to 60 cm from your baby and record for at least 5 to 10 seconds while they are actively crying. If the crying is unusual or very high-pitched, or comes with fever, poor feeding or unusual sleepiness, contact a doctor.

Can I track feeding and diapers in Babymind?

Yes. Daily Care logs breastfeeding with a left and right timer, bottles, pumping, solids, diapers, tummy time, temperature and medicine. It shows the time since the last feed and can remind you when the next one is due, by default every 2 to 4 hours depending on your baby's age, and you can change that interval. Logging and reminders are free; the 7 and 30 day care report is part of Premium.

Does Babymind show WHO growth percentiles?

Yes. For each weight, length or head circumference you save, Babymind shows the percentile on the WHO 2006 Child Growth Standards, for children up to 5 years, based on your baby's age on the measurement date. It does not adjust for prematurity, and one reading is not a diagnosis: the trend and your doctor's assessment matter more. You can also try the free calculator on our website.

Medical Disclaimer: Babymind is designed as a parenting support tool and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult your physician, pediatrician, or qualified healthcare provider with any questions regarding your health or your child’s health. Do not disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of information provided by this application.
